Gender Inclusive Schools: Preventing Bias Based Bullying

October is both LGBTQ History Month and National Bullying Prevention Month! Now, more than ever, our students need educators that are prepared to prevent and correct bullying behavior at school!

We are celebrating educators, who refuse to be bystanders, by hosting a school-wide sticker giveaway and the Welcoming Schools Educator Series online session of the module "Preventing Bias-Based Bullying"!

School-wide Sticker Giveaway: We are giving away school-wide sets of our "All Students Are Safe In This Space" vinyl stickers! We will select two individuals to win 50 stickers ($250 value)!!!

How to enter: To be eligible for the drawing, simply click "Going" on the event! If it's not safe for you to publicly be listed as attending, send us a message at info@genderinclusiveschools.org and we will put you on our list offline! Double Your Chances: To double your chances of winning, drop a photo of our badges, stickers or thank-you cards in action at your school/home. *Each individual can be entered a maximum of 2 times total! Winners will be selected on October 21st at 5:00 pm CST!

WS Ed Series Online Session: Join us for the Welcoming Schools Educator Series modules "Preventing Bias-Based Bullying" on Saturday, October 22nd at 10:30 am CST!

This session will help educators: *Encourage ally behavior among students, staff and other adults *proactively address the biased behavior that can lead to bullying *practice responding to challenging questions and bullying behavior directed at LGBTQ identities
